Bookend - Sailing ship

Created by Valentino Marengo and inspired by the relief representations which decorate a marble fanlight. The fanlight, designed with variously-shaped openings and carved decoration, is a typical example of stone carving from Tinos, a Cycladic island, 18th - early 19th century.
