Brooch with carnelian

Brooch with carnelian, inspired by a precious early Christian necklace of the 5th century AD. The original, one of the most important jewels of the time, consisted of three independent sections made of gold, emeralds, sapphires, and pearls set in an openwork frame. The emphasis in the piece is mainly given through the choice of colours of the precious stones.
