Ceramic replica of an ovoid seal-amulet of the 2nd - 3rd century BC set on an acrylic base. The original is engraved in haematite and features the winged figures of Eros and Psyche locked in embrace, referencing the homonymous symbolic story by Apulius (2nd – 1st century BC). Very popular in Antiquity, this work narrates the checkered love of the god Eros for the mortal Psyche, which finally triumphs after many trials and tribulations.
