Gold-plated bronze icon, replica of a gospel cover dedicated to the Church of the Holy Saviour in Adrianople in 1676. The representation of Christ the Vine comes from frontispiece woodcuts of Greek Gospels printed in Venice, while the presence of Jesse in the image is a common addition to wooden and silver pectorals of the time.
