Faithful replica of a gold coin of Leon VI (rein 886 - 912). The coin depicts Virgin Mary in the pose of supplication on the obverse with an inscription around the perimeter. The crowned emperor is pictured on the reverse holding a patriarchal globus in right hand with an inscription around the perimeter.
