Γκίκας. Ταξίδι από τη Δύση στην Ανατολή / Ghika. A Journey from West to East

The richly illustrated publication is the catalogue of the exhibition under the same title presented at the Benaki Museum (Pireos 138) from 24 October 2024 until 16 February 2025. The publication, which follows Ghika during his journey to the USA and Mexico, and his return to Greece via the East, includes chapters regarding his relationship with Far Eastern art, Buddhist art, and the art of theatre and dance, a supplement in which unpublished notes of the artist from his journey are published, along with excerpts from his letters. The binding refers to the classical Japanese technique, with visible threads on the main body and handmade binding on the supplement. The result creates the image of a box and is complemented by a simple cover embossed with a design by Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghika.
