Silver box - Aegina coin

Silver box featuring a turtle representation derived from a silver coin from the island of Aegina. The earliest Greek coinage was minted in Aegina, as the island enjoyed exceptional economic prosperity until the end of the archaic period, before its submission to Athens (6th century BC).
