Silver necklace with garnets, replica of superb example of the goldsmith's art of the Hellenistic period from the Benaki Museum collection. Necklaces created of braided bands and pendent vase-shaped or lanceolate beads appeared in the late 4th century BC and became very popular throughout the Hellenic world up to the 2nd century BC.
