Les Combats des Grecs. Papiers peints. Decorazioni filelleniche negli interni di palazzi italiani (The Battles of the Greeks. Papiers peints. Philhellenic decoration in Italian mansions)

The publication accompanies the exhibition of the same title which was held at Trieste, under the auspices of the "Greece 2021 Committee", on the initiative of the Greek Consulate of the city, from October 16 to November 7, 2021. The exhibition was dedicated to the paper wall coverings (papier peints) of 1828, entitled "The Battles of the Greeks", which were produced by the French Jean Zuber & Cie manufactory. The rich photographic material of the publication and the extensive scientific studies that accompany it shed light on the history and nature of this not very well known artistic product, but also enrich the study of various aspects of European Philhellenism during the years of the Greek Revolution.
