Silver necklace adorned with amethyste, replica of a necklace from the «Treasure of Thera» (Late Helladic IIB-IIA period, late 15th - early 14th century). The original features beads of Minoan inspiration in the shape of lily papyrus or semicircular papyrus, often found in Aegean jewellery in schematized form. The larger elements render a hybrid flower belonging to an imaginary flora used not only for decoration but also for religious reasons.
