Pendant - Female figure

Silver pendant in the form of a marble figurine of a seated woman from the Middle/ Late Neolithic Period (5800 - 4500 BC). The original belongs to a category of anthropomorphic, apotropaic Neolithic jewellery which was probably considered to have supernatural powers capable of going against the laws of nature.
