Figurine of the «Ψ» type

Replica of a clay female figurine of the «Ψ» type, as this particular category of Mycenaean figurines has been called, whose shape resembles the letter Ψ of the Greek alphabet. The works of this particular type are frequently interpreted as depicting divinities, nurses or even as children's toys. Late Helladic IIIA-B period (1400-1200 BC). Gift of Peggy Zoumboulaki.
