Medusa. Art Gallery (1979-2017)

The publication, an accompanying catalogue of the exhibition of the same name hosted at the Benaki Museum, in the spring of 2022, is dedicated to "Medusa" and Maria Dimitriadi, the creator and soul of the Art Gallery. The history of the gallery is presented in detail, which for about forty years was a point of reference for "artistic Athens", as it did not only host the work of many renowned artists who left their indelible mark in Greece and abroad, but also became a nursery for many young artists. The publication, through the accompanying texts-analyses of the curator and through the exceptionally rich photographic material, offers the reader an apocalyptic panorama of this important story.
