A book published to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the death of Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghika. The volume illuminates the years of Ghika’s apprenticeship under the great teachers of modernism in Paris and his return to Greece, when the painter applied the teachings of the European avant-garde in conjunction with his own personal style and with conditions in Greece. Apart from the texts of Angelos Delivorrias, J. P. Rycke and N. P. Paissios, there are also texts by well-known art critics of the time and a bibliographical supplement on his work.
Translation: Judy Yanakopoulou, John Leatham, John Avgherinos, Aimilia Moraiti, Maria Koumboura, Antonis Fostieris
