Bronze paperweight decorated with a silver replica of a coin from the island of Aegina with a turtle on the obverse (6th century BC). The earliest Greek coinage was minted in Aegina, as the island enjoyed exceptional economic prosperity until the end of the archaic period, before its submission to Athens.
