A book of photographs about the life and work of Penelope Delta; The reader becomes part of a fascinating journey from her childhood in Alexandria (b. 1874) to her death (1941), interwoven with the political and historical events of her times. The book is divided into two main parts. The first gives a brief account of the historical context of the period and of the city in which she was born and brought up, the family origins, her position in her father’s house, her marriage with Stefanos Deltas and her friendship with Ion Dragoumis. The second part deals with her intellectual output, as well as contemporary events as she recorded them.
