Miniature replica of the bronze compass that belonged to Andreas Miaoulis (1769-1835), commander of the Greek naval forces during the War of Independence.

Part of a collection designed exclusively for the Benaki Museum by Aliki Stroumpouli, inspired by favourite tools of prominent figures of the Greek War of Independence (1821-1830).
