The central motif of the tray is a representation of a turtle from a silver coin from Aegina. The earliest Greek coinage was minted in Aegina, as the island enjoyed exceptional economic prosperity until the end of the archaic period, before its submission to Athens. 6th century BC. Inv. No 33682
