Bowl with brown flower

Decorative bowl, inspired by the Byzantine ceramics collection of the Benaki Museum. The design faithfully reproduces the tradition of Byzantine glazed pottery. The decoration is executed in the sgraffito technique: the vase is first covered in white slip, on which the decorative motif is incised, and then coated in a yellowish-green glaze.
