Ceramic bowl, based on the Byzantine pottery collection of the Benaki Museum. The decoration is executed in the sgraffito technique, faithfully reproducing the tradition of Byzantine glazed pottery: the vase is first covered in white slip, on which the decorative motif is incised. Then comes the glazing, usually in yellow and green.
