Bronze replica of a representation of the Virgin, as depicted in the handle of a 14th century censer. The inscriptions reading MH[TH]P Θ[EO]Y H ΘEPAΠIΩTHCA and I[HCOY]C x[PICTO]C inform us that it was dedicated to the Church of the Mother of God at Therapia, while the Virgin is of the Hodegetria type. The style of the figures and the background ornamentation indicate that it was made during the Paleologan period from a workshop in Constantinople.
