Replica of a red-figure lekythos from an Attic workshop attributed to the Carlsruhe Painter (6th - 5th century BC). The original bears the figure of a Siren with a sack in her hair and wearing earrings, in front of an olive or laurel tree. In mythology Sirens were demonic beings, half-female and half-bird.
