Terracotta replica of a figurine made in Egypt (2nd century). The naked figure of the goddess of love holding a shell is modeled on the iconographic type of Aphrodite Anadyomene, a Hellenistic motif alluding to the myth of the goddess begotten by the waves. Bone relief plaques with mythological representations decorated jewel caskets, cosmetic boxes and luxury furniture.
