Ceramic female figurine (Tanagraea) holding a fan in her left hand. The original was made in a Boetian workshop (325 - 300 BC) and features traces of blue and black colouring. These figurines were first found in the Boeotian town of Tanagra although they probably originated in Athens circa 330 BC. Until the late 3rd century BC they appeared as products of local workshops in Greece and in the Eastern Mediterranean.
