This is a hand-made silver tama (votive offering) cut in the shape of a double-mast sailing ship, with the Greek flag waving on the back mast.
Workshop hand-made votive offerings representing boats, often known as “silverboats”, are characterized by their elaborate form and the high quality of the metal used. These two elements reveal among other things the prosperity of the merchant class during the neo-Hellenic period. Donated by Mikes Paidousis Inv. No 36255
