Corinthian aryballos

Ceramic replica of a flask (aryballus), made according to the original ancient technique. The original is a Corinthian globular vessel (600 - 575 BC). Such Corinthian aryballuses were mass produced in the 6th century BC and were used for storing and transporting essences. They are often decorated with demons and mythical animals normally associated with oriental thematic cycles.
