Replica of a Boeotian drinking cup (kantharos) made according to the original ancient technique. The original features a representation of a snake, suggesting a possible ritual use (5th century BC). In antiquity, the snake was associated with chthonic deities and was extensively used in jewellery as a symbol capable of averting evil.
