Corinthian aryballοs

Silver replica of a proto-Corinthian pear-shaped jar (aryballus) (circa 650 - 640 BC). The body of the original is engraved with a scaly jewel. Such jars were used for keeping essences or olive oil used by women and men, usually athletes.
