Mycenaean kylix

The Kylix from Dendra, Argolis is embossed with a representation of hounds reflecting the Achaeans’ love for hunting. An exquisite specimen of Mycenaean metalwork, a craft which was practiced and controlled by major royal courts, dating back to the 13th century BC. It was probably placed as a funerary gift into royal graves.
