Replica of a black-figure Siana kylix from an Attic workshop (560 - 550 BC). The original bears on the one side a scene of Theseus’ battle with the Minotaur and a representation of three riders on the other side. A tondo inside the kylix bears the figure of a running man who is holding a tripod in each hand. It is one of the earliest representations of the particular mythological tale in Attic pottery. It is attributed to the Dyri Painter.
Donated by Peggy Zoumboulaki in memory of her husband Tasos.
