Silver box - Ioannis Kapodistrias

Silver box decorated with a replica of a gold-plated button from Ioannis Kapodistrias’ clothing, based on the coin design of the first currency of the modern Greek state which depicted a phoenix rising from the ashes below a cross.

Created on the occasion of the Benaki Museum’s anniversary exhibition 1821 Before and After.
