Achilleas Samantzis (1870-1936), an accomplished photographer of the Sultan, whose workshop was located opposite the "Peran Pallas" hotel, and his son-in-law Evgenios Dalezios (1888-1983), historian, Byzantinologist, member of many scientific societies, writer and amateur photographer, present with their work aspects and everyday life in Constantinople of the early 20th century, photographing Byzantine churches, monasteries, buildings, neighborhoods, markets, alleys of the City, unique portraits, men and women.
