An exemplary publication, of high aesthetics and scientific validity, dedicated to Nikos Skalkottas, the composer who distinguished himself both in Greece and abroad, leaving behind a pioneering oeuvre, sealed by talent and persistent effort. Photographic portraits of Skalkottas, scenography and drawings converse with photographs of persons and events that influenced the composer or determined the era. An entire historical period is thus reconstructed, and a fascinating corpus is presented, which is enriched by texts of Greek and foreign scholars of Skalkottas' musical work.
