The central motif of the cardholder is a ship from the variously shaped representations which decorate a stone fanlight. The fanlight, designed with variously shaped openings and decoration carved in champlere, is a typical example of stone – cosvings from Tinos, a Cycladic island. 18th – early 19th century. Inv.
