This volume includes all the studies Giorgos G. Alisandratos wrote on Nikolaos Konemenos (1832-1907), the influential and yet relatively overlooked intellectual. The author delineates the historical background in which Konemenos’ ideas were shaped and also highlights their significance, particularly those relating to language and politics, in an age where the “language issue” was acute and there were significant battles on the political and ideological orientation of Greek society.
